After solding-out a total of 2,500 copies in a very short time, we return 4 years later with a new edition so that you can enjoy, through 448 pages illustrated with photographs, the great work of the architect Fernando Higueras. This marvelous edition is carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda through the General Directorate of Urban Agenda and Architecture and the Publications Center, the ICO Foundation and Ediciones Asimétricas, with the support of the Fernando Higueras Foundation and the design by Soda Communication.

This book exhaustively compiles the most emblematic works made by Fernando Higueras from his first drawings in 1950 until his death in 2008. Profusely illustrated and rigorously documented, it is the most complete monograph dedicated to the spanish architect. It is organized as a chronological and highly visual journey throughout the work of Fernando Higueras, with original models, photographs, plans, etc. with which the architect talks about his buildings and his conception of architecture. It also includes numerous critical texts about the work and the unrepeatable figure of Higueras.

Edited in Spanish and English, the catalog features texts by the curator Lola Botia and also by Álvaro Martínez-Novillo, Andrés Perea, Óscar Tusquets, Darío Gazapo and Concha Lapayese, Antonio Miró, Iñaki Ábalos, Juli Capella, Josemaría de Churtichaga, Salvador Pérez Arroyo , Felix Candela, Javier Manterola Armisén, Alberto Humanes Bustamante and an extensive essay by María Isabel Navarro Segura.

Alberto Martínez García (Madrid, Spain. 1988) Architect from the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM) and Master of Architecture II post-professional degree from The Cooper Union (New York). Currently living and working in New York, I have previously worked and lived in Shanghai, Amsterdam, Portugal, England, and Madrid. My interests include the importance of history in contemporary architecture, the evolution of housing, and the expression of contemporary culture on a small scale such as interior and product design.

Héctor Rivera Bajo (Ciudad Real, Spain. 1987) Architect from Higher Technical School of Architecture of Alcalá (ETSAUAH). After some years of studying and working at Lisboa and Madrid, I am currently settled down in Zürich. My interests are focused on the use of certain spatial patterns within the domesticity realm to trace Territorial Hierarchies and produce identity by social and community space. This approach to the Infrastructural Nature of Architecture must be considered from a critical attitude in regard to architectural historiography.

This eleventh volume of the collection of essays on Architecture and Ceramics that the Madrid Department of Ceramics is teaching and coordinating, and with the purporse of continuing to delve deeper into the importance of ceramics in Architecture, a series of reflections and thoughts are collected in relation to the ceramic material and the architectural space. Different architects approach ceramics from multiple points of view, thus broadening the field of interest of a material that is deeply rooted in the discipline of architecture, with contributions that extend its knowledge by combining its historical, technical and spatial values.
