The body and architecture are entities in continuity and therefore develop together. With the increasing technological progress that is currently taking place, the construction of our environment, of our species and, in particular, of our bodies is changing drastically: the new culture of the body manifests itself in the form of body-building, aesthetic medicine, plastic surgery, prostheses, genetic manipulations... These are symptoms that bodies are inevitably transformed and constituted to a large extent by technology, and as a consequence, the need arises to study the relationship from an architectural point of view, since these modifications have direct implications for society and politics, for the ways in which the city is developed and understood, for our relationship with spaces, with ourselves and with other species... In short, for the constitution of the human. The body is the subject of inhabiting. Architecture, as a tool capable of linking body and space, can dilute the frontier that separates them, and should therefore form part of this reflection by understanding the implications of the contemporary body, a hybrid body, which is defined and modified by technology, a trans body.
