Textos Críticos

Textos Críticos

The collection Textos críticos brings together fundamental texts by professors of the Department of Projects of the School of Architecture of Madrid, a department in which all of them have for many years exercised a wide-ranging and generous teaching that has sometimes left its mark on generations of students.

This publishing project, an initiative of Andrés Cánovas, director of the Department of Projects, arose with the intention of giving the most veteran teachers of his department the opportunity to examine, from the perspective of a long academic career, their own theoretical contributions to the discipline over time with the aim of selecting and grouping them together with honesty, so as to produce a sort of "intellectual biography" that gives an account of their thinking and interests and the evolution they have undergone over the years.

The collection has been intentionally conceived with the sobriety of graphic design, material austerity and editorial homogeneity (same number of words and images, sections, appendices, paratexts...), with the aim that only the differences in approaches, themes and contents are the protagonists of the pages of each volume, thus highlighting, above all, the personality and thought of each of the authors.
