Monografias
As its name suggests, this collection brings together publications on monographic topics treated with depth and rigour and generally also at some length. They are always individually authored, which underlines their monographic nature. They are often reworkings of doctoral theses adapted for publication, as these publications are aimed at a wider public than the thesis itself, which is normally only suitable for specialists.
Their format, slightly expanded in width, allows for two columns, one for the main body of the text and another smaller auxiliary column for images and notes. They also have an important critical apparatus with bibliography, indexes, etc.
